Semadra

“Blessed are they who stand before the corrupt and the wicked, and do not falter.”

Semadra is one of The Nine Gods. Goddess of Truth and Justice. Think of Jesus, but with the desire to physically fight for justice. Teaches that true justice is paramount, and it is not adequately expressed by laws, therefore it is one’s duty to seek out and promote goodness and justice whether it is lawful or not. Dwarves favor Semadra in their worship because of the important role her supporters played in stopping a war between the Elves and Dwarves before the establishment of The Combine. Her symbol is a drop of fire. The worship of Semadra is organized into autonomous groups of priests who serve as overseers and religious authorities within their individual territories. Each territory covers at most a city and the neighboring towns. Territories are not governed by any set of rules, but simply by the priests’ best judgement.
Semadra is also known as the Righteous Mother, the Fire Keeper, and The True Justice
Priests of Semadra specialize in healing magic.
A Semadran worship space is laid out like a feast hall, with a large hearth in the back (that must always be burning) with an elevated table for the priest and other clergy. Below them sit the faithful at their own tables. Torches made with valuable metal or decorated with fine jewels line the walls.
